The Moulin Rouge is a reproduction of the original advertising poster created by the pioneer of coloured advertising posters, Alfred Choubrac in 1896. Choubrac's bold lines, balanced compositions and decorative skills were admired by both critics and artists alike during the Art Nouveau period. The Moulin Rouge is an art print that showcases a lavish colour palette of vintage yellows, blues, reds and black in a balanced composition, a superb French Art Nouveau addition to both contemporary and vintage interior decors alike.

All framed art prints are made to order and this takes on average between 7 - 10 business days to complete.

Once your art prints are framed, they will typically be shipped within 24hrs.

Unframed Art Prints

All unframed art prints are shipped within 24hrs to 48hrs after your order has been placed.

If your order is placed after midday Friday, your order will be shipped on the following Monday.

General

All orders receive free tracking and we will update you via email or text message during each stage of the shipping process.

Shipping delivery times are between 2 - 4 days and if you live rurally you will need to add an additional 1 - 2 days.

We provide tracking for every art print that is shipped and you can track your order day and night on the Australia Post or Aramex website here;

The Artist

ALFRED CHOUBRAC

Alfred Choubrac 1853 – 1902 was a French painter, illustrator, draughtsman, poster artist and costume designer. Together with Jules Cheret he is considered to be one of the pioneers of the modern coloured and illustrated poster of the Belle Epoque ("The Beautiful Era"). The Belle Epoque era in France's cultural and artistic climate (particularly within Paris), the arts markedly flourished and numerous masterpieces of literature, music, theatre and visual arts gained extensive recognition.

Choubrac was praised for his bold lines, sense of composition and highly decorative skills and must have drawn more than four hundred posters for theatres, novels and industry products, before he switched his attention to the design of theatrical costumes, in which he was equally successful. Alfred Choubrac today he is considered one of the most celebrated artists of the Belle Epoque period.
