Hooping Crane is the result of when ornithology and art collide to produce this classic modernist piece. Painted by John James Audubon and depicts a captivating Hooping Crane craning its neck towards a stripy lizard with a sumptuous lagoon in the background. This highly detailed reproduction puts a heavy emphasis on the captivating colour contrast between the feather white hues and the striking blue sky in the background. All framed art prints are made to order and this takes on average between 7 - 10 business days to complete.

Once your art prints are framed, they will typically be shipped within 24hrs.

Unframed Art Prints

All unframed art prints are shipped within 24hrs to 48hrs after your order has been placed.

If your order is placed after midday Friday, your order will be shipped on the following Monday.

General

All orders receive free tracking and we will update you via email or text message during each stage of the shipping process.

Shipping delivery times are between 2 - 4 days and if you live rurally you will need to add an additional 1 - 2 days.

We provide tracking for every art print that is shipped and you can track your order day and night on the Australia Post or Aramex website here;

The Artist

JOHN JAMES AUDUBON

John James Audubon (1785 - 1851) was an American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter. Audubon was notable for his extensive studies documenting all types of American birds and for his detailed illustrations that depicted native birds in their natural habitats and for having identified 25 new species during his career.

His major work, a color-plate book entitled The Birds of America (1827–1839) is considered one of the finest ornithological works ever completed. Audubon's influence on ornithology and natural history was far reaching, influencing all later ornithological works and artistry striving for Audubon's detailed realism and exceptionally high standards of accuracy. The Birds of America is still considered one of the greatest examples of book-art in past and modern history.
